This is what we woke up to.
Hudson was so excited he ran out in his PJs
Went to work that day and some of my team decided to send HR a message from the roof of a nearby parking garage during lunch. It worked. We got to go home early.
That meant more playing in the snow
The snow WOULD NOT stop pouring down!

Having lived in the South for so long now we forgot how bright it looks at night when there's this much snow on the ground. This was taken at 11:00 PM!
The only drawback to the great snowstorm was that we lost power for several days due to tree limbs falling on power lines. You can see from this shot of our persimmon tree how much weight gets added on. Over 200,000 households in Dallas were affected!
You can barely make out our house behind our grand oaks that have sagged from the weight of the snow!
A look up our street will give you an idea of why so many power lines went down.
Throwing away groceries was so depressing.
We did however have a great time camping and making smores in our living room

Tired of being cooped up, we headed to Coopers BBQ in Fort Worth
Fayte picking her meats out of the holding pit
Pork rib, Cabrito (Goat, which was Fayte's FAVORITE) and brisket. We also ordered some great pork loin. Cooper's probably has the largest selection of meats out of all of the legendary Texas BBQ pits.

Apparently in Fort Worth, its okay to ride a steer on the road!

Ba Noi and Connor came up to celebrate the new year. Fayte and Connor are receiving traditional Lysee money here!

Speaking of missing school, Fayte's academy was closed shortly before the snowstorm so she spent the day working as an ad exec downtown with Daddy!
Lets go to LA to direct some commercials! Its much warmer there.
