AN AUSTIN HOMECOMING

We took a nice little vacation back down to Austin this week to celebrate Papa's birthday, eat at our local favorites and see some old friends. Always a good time in Austin.

Alright ladies, how many years is Papa now?

A BIG JULY UPDATE

OK, well in our last post we promised some nice 3D ultrasounds of Hudson, but unfortunately after some discussion we have decided it's in our best interest to not have them taken this pregnancy. Instead, we went to see Wall-E (which was awesome).

But to keep our promise of sharing some visuals of Hudson, here's a nice representation drawn by his big sis Fayte:

Guess she thinks her little brother's more of a red-headed stepchild.

Anyway, so its been a busy week since our last post. While we are still fighting to have our roof repaired from the big April oak tree fiasco, we're happy to say that things inside the house are finally beginning to come together. Furniture we had ordered before the storm is finally arriving much to our delight, and Fayte's as well:

We also didn't really know what to do about the built in planter box in our entryway until we were out and about today. You can't see it, but the great dwarf grasses we found are set on some nice black river rocks inside the planter box. If you really know us, then you'll know that low-maintenance is the way to go (without getting fakes). What do you think?

We were pretty excited about the results (especially after finding the river rocks at the local Dollar Tree for, well, a dollar!). We were also excited to have both the Viramontes and the Le grandparents come visit us as well as all of Fayte's cousins!

The Le's, The Viramontes, Fayte and Fayte's belly. Guess who's who.

Cousins Adysen, Fayte, Connor, Hadley

Hadley came to Fayte's sleepover and was treated to a day at the pool..

...and the fabulous burgers and shakes at Burger House. Seriously, for all of our friends and family back home in Austin, if you haven't had Burger House yet then get in your car and visit the one that opened in Far West. The special fries and the original cherry colas are must-orders. Oh and sorry about the crack in the photo. Don't let that deter you from the wonderful food.

The cousins also took a trip to the zoo where Fayte made a new friend.

And of course the fam enjoyed the fireworks to ring in July 4.
