HUDSON THE CLEAN-CUT KANGAROO

Quick update. Mini Mac got his first haircut this week which is a pretty big deal because we've only cut Fayte's hair once for each year of her life. Unlike his sister, Hudson's hair grows like weeds and we grew tired of his rapidly developing mullet.

He felt much lighter after the cut and was as happy as happy can be:

It's fun to compare Hudson's video with Fayte's own Jumperoo video to the right. Fayte had better coordination at 4 months, but to Hudson's defense, he is VERY close to crawling (something Fayte refused to do). In fact, she pretty much decided to skip crawling altogether.

A RARE QUIET WEEKEND

It was quiet at the Le Unit headquarters this weekend. We enjoyed a great breakfast at Breadwinners on Saturday with Mimi, Papa and Aunt Tania and then a nice brunch at Bolsa in East Oak Cliff on Sunday with Stephanie, Robbie and our 4-legged pal Baxter. Other than that, it was a weekend of RELAXATION!

Well, it was almost quiet. Hudson tried solid foods for the first time and he's definitely not a fan.

HOT OFF THE PRESS

Now printing: the Le Unit's favorite children's story Baked Ziti With a Jalapeño On Top! It's a children's story loosely based on you know who and the first copy arrives in our hands on Tuesday! We can't wait. If you're interested, visit the Blurb bookstore for pricing and a 15-page preview of the book. It's a little on the pricey end due to the small print run (no control over that since its self-published through Blurb at the present time), but the small proceeds we do get from sales go directly into Fayte and Hudson's 529 College Savings plans. Check it out at the Blurb bookstore by clicking here.

THE LAST DAYS OF SUMMER...ER....WINTER.

Well, not quite, but it has been fairly mild in Dallas. What does that mean? A day at the park for the Le Unit. We snapped some shots that really show how much the kids love the park and it's sad realizing that everyone's back to work/daycare in a few days. We've included some of our favorite shots from this week as well.

We also celebrated the new year by grabbing a slice from our favorite NY joint in Dallas, Pastazios. Seriously, this is THE place.

There are no words.

Fayte plans out her next slice...looks like Hudson's doing the same.
