GOOOOOOAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!

That's what the other team was shouting....a lot...today. The Mean Green was tossed aside like a piece of litter today, but through all the fun, nobody really seemed to notice. Plus, Fayte was credited with a nice assist today. Unfortunately it was directly to the other team. Besides that little mishap, she was caught running off the field to dance with the corner flag and abandoning her teammates during a fast break to ham it up with those of us on the sideline. It's apparent that our little primadonna has a couple of thing to work on before her next outing, but to her defense, she is the youngest one on the team. Here's some of the action.

Getting pumped up for the game

Number five from Austin, Texas....Faaayyyyyttteee Leeeeeeee!

Warmups

Fayte works with coach

Stretching. Can't pull a hammy!

Sizing the other team up

"They got nothin"

Fayte gets it going! This immediately got taken to the house by #2.

Fayte ditches her teammates to ham it up with the corner flag

High-Five!

Fayte's #1 fan!

Hudson couldn't stand watching the beatdown.

FAYTE SIGNS WITH MEAN GREEN

It's official. Fayte is wearing the #5 for the Mean Green this Spring. We went to pick up her jersey today and Dad was a little disappointed that Fayte didn't pick his collegiate jersey number, but found consolation in the fact that it is Joe Dimaggio's number. We could not be more excited to see her release some of that crazy energy this season on the soccer field....or is it football pitch? Who cares, as long as it tires her out!

Unfortunately, she's gotten into a habit of performing ridiculous celebration dances after winning at things like Candy Land. She claims to be perfecting a celebration for after her first goal. Guess T.O.'s antics must've rubbed off on her.

And speaking of "signing," we are pleased to announce that after a pretty thorough application process, Fayte was accepted to the prestigious Grace Academy in Dallas next year! Our first choice. Phew! To celebrate, Daddy's going to ditch work to take her out to Opening Day this year for some 1-on-1 baseball watching and nacho/hot dog/cotton candy eating. Anyway, we'll send out her soccer season schedule soon in case you're in town. GO GREEN!
