BIG OL' MAY UPDATE

With all the traveling that comes with weddings, graduations, shoots and conferences, believe it or not, we were able to redo Hudson and Fayte's bathroom (even though we didn't plan on taking on such a project). It all began on mothers day when we tugged on a small corner of wallpaper that had begun to peel. Unlike the kitchen, there was only 1 layer and it peeled off easily. So, within 30 minutes, we spontaneously had the walls stripped! In less than 24 hours, we had the room textured, painted and styled with coastal accents to go along with the kids' aquarium and fish towels and floor mat. We're not quite there yet as you can see, but here are some before and afters.









Fayte's been quite a trooper lately during all of this traveling. Part of the reason is because she's a ham and loves the attention she receives at large family functions. Another part of this is because she knows she gets special treats during trips. Here's a verbatim conversation just last week:

Fayte: Daddy's going on an airplane to LA.
Mommy: No, Daddy's going to Boston this week.
Fayte: Daddy's going on an airplane to Boston to buy me a new dress!

As you can tell from the pictures, Fayte's been a happy little booger lately who enjoys singing, drawing, helping Mommy in the garden and of course trying on dresses. She's also become quite adept at saying her nightly prayers. The good little Catholic has the Our Father and the Hail Mary down though she gets away with some mumbling here in this clip:

As for Hudson, at 6 months, he's still demanding meat and potatoes everyday. Right now he measures a foot long (the length of an ear of corn) and weighs over a pound. He's hanging out much lower than Fayte use to so there's definitely a "beach ball" effect this time. Like Fayte, he is really active at night and his kicks and punches are strong enough to be seen with the naked eye. Fayte has been getting a kick out of it. Sorry, there's still an embargo on pregnancy photos, but perhaps that will be lifted toward the end of the pregnancy.
