"I'M BUBBA."
Hudson's first word will always be Mama, but the first one we've been able to get him to repeat on command is one of his latest nicknames: Bubba. This week, he's been crawling around mumbling "I'm Bubba" to anyone who will listen. It's official. He's a true Texan.

MEMORIAL DAY 2009
A quick shower marked the start of Memorial Day weekend 2009...
...but the rest of the long weekend was hot and sunny.
Fayte's friend from Austin, Sophia, came to Dallas for a visit!
Daddy models the BIG MAC shirt Mommy got him while at the park.
Cousin Connor also came by bearing gifts from Hawaii
And the fam headed to the annual Yankee game
So were Connor and Fayte
All smiles because Daddy knew of an amazing parking secret at the ballpark!
Yankees won 11-1!!!

And, while we're on the subject of baseball, we stumbled across photos of Fayte's first Yankee game while we were looking through photos tonight. Here's a blast from the past:

WORD TO YOUR MOTHER
Happy Mothers Day 2009 from Khoa Le on Vimeo.
Mothers Day weekend started off with a bang...literally. Mommy, accompanied by Aunt Michelle, participated in some hardcore kickboxing training at UFC champion Guy Mezger's MMA gym here in Dallas. This isn't your typical kickboxing cardio class at Gold's Gym. Want proof? Check out Aunt Michelle's shins:
After the intense training, the rest of the weekend was rest, relaxation and FOOD!
Daddy ordered a taste of home from NY
And a cheese pie from our favorite NY place in Dallas (where we sadly talked with the guys about the state of the Yankees....sigh)
But nothing cures the blues like a giant floppy slice of cheesy goodness.
That morning, Papa took the fam out to Breadwinners in UpTown
Hudson's best seat in the house
The girls
Ladies man! (well, maybe in Oklahoma....gross.)

A happy mommy on Mothers Day...happy mothers day Mimi and Ba Noi!

MR MOM
After a nice visit from Ong Noi and Ba Noi, the kids were treated to some extra time with Dad this week as he took some time from work. Highlights of the week included Hudson trying to eat dirt and successfully sneaking some of Champ's dog food into his mouth. The little meatball is QUICK and lets just say that Daddy needs a little more practice being Mr. Mom. It wasn't all dirt and dogfood however as Hudson did get treated to some more of his favorite Cheddar Bay biscuits, some great grub at the always tasty Truluck's, and some of these delicious sliders that Daddy made (seriously, we've got a great recipe...email us or leave us a comment):
It's WIMPY from Popeye! Interesting fact: Hudson would've been named Olive if he were a "she." We think Fayte looks like Olive Oil and so we figured her sister would look similar. Who knows, maybe Baby #3.
Here's the little guy getting excited to see his Aunt Tania, who also came up to spend some quality time with the kiddos this weekend. Thanks Tania. We had a blast!
Oh and In the time since the last post, we've also completed renovating our home gym into a home boxing gym with lots of fun explosive conditioning equipment. We got some great ideas from Ross Training and Defranco's Training in NJ. Mommy's going to be training with an ex-UFC champ this summer (conditioning/self-defense. NOT fighting!) and it looks like Fayte wants to follow in her footsteps:
"You lookin' at me?"
